Can we put a sliding gate on our mezzanine floor?

Updated: Jan 27, 2022

The way that we can use mezzanine floor access points has changed with evolving health and safety guidelines. It is no longer exceptional to have a sliding gate mechanism on a mezzanine floor as an access point as it is now deemed a permanent hazard if not closed off properly. These issues can easily be solved using gates such as a Cantilever and this is an excellent way to conform to the current legislation and ensure that all persons using such access points can do so safely. There are many gates and varieties available online so make sure you do your research thoroughly and choose or select the correct type of gate for your particular application. Gates such as 360゚or swing gates are common and fantastic solutions around these issues.
